The NORMAN network will develop a specifically designed to support the harmonised optimisation and validation of measurement methods for monitoring of emerging contaminants.

In order to test the developed protocols and the ability of the network to meet European demands for monitoring of emerging pollutants, various inter-laboratory studies will be undertaken, each of them addressing a different class of emerging substances of particular environmental interest today.
